Aza Hand is the chief creative of A77 Sound and established the Studio in 2020. Known for his experimental approach and meticulous attention to detail, Aza ensures every sound contributes to the emotional resonance and atmosphere of a project. Collaborating closely with directors, producers and other key creatives, he refines each sound element to authentically represent their vision to bring the project to life.

Aza has been recognised for his groundbreaking work and was the first to be nominated in both Best Sound and Best Music categories at the 2021 and 2023 IFTA’s, Aza was recently nominated for best sound at the 2024 British Independent Film Awards for his work on the film Kneecap.

With experience working with international and Irish directors, he has proven ability to translate creative ambitions into award winning sound tracks that enrich and enhance the visual experience.
